Rental Period


This property rents weekly in high season from Saturday to Saturday.

Non-peak season rental by individual agreement


Check-in/out


Peak season check-in is Saturday 4pm (1600 hrs)

Peak season check-out is Saturday 11am


Guests check in electronically. A unique access code will be provided to guests just prior to occupancy.


Accommodations


There are three bedrooms at Luckystone Sound; the property is best suited for one family or two couples. Maximum guest numbers apply, and all guests must be registered.


The master bedroom and bedroom two are on the second level, both with access to the balcony. Bedroom three is on the main level.

Linens are provided for your comfort.


Main Bathroom: Upper level, Double vessel sinks and walk-in shower

Bathroom Two: Lower level two piece powder room


Towels, soaps and sundries are provided.


Kitchen: The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge, microwave, gas stove/oven and dishwasher.

The kitchen has seating for informal dining, and a dining table is additionally available in the great room.

Dishes, utensils, barware, and cookware are provided.

Kitchen linens and soap are on-hand for your use.


The Great Room: The Great Room is equipped with satellite television, a stone gas fireplace, and comfortable seating.

Enjoy the wifi on your laptop or other devices.


Experience the outdoors from the comfort of the air-conditioned Great Room, with a lake-view from every seat.


Laundry Facilities: Full on-site laundry


Luckystone Sound is a year-round property with central air conditioning and heating.


Outdoor Amenities


Luckystone Sound offers waterfront lawns beside a natural beach. The property is conservation adjacent, and located in the Big Creek Watershed area.


Enjoy the hot tub, fire pit, BBQ, and seating areas. Fish right from the lawn.


Guests may fish and explore the lake and surrounding waters by kayak; two angler kayaks suitable for users ranging from novice to experienced are supplied. Lifejackets provided. A shaded horseshoe pit overlooks the beach.


Luckystone Sound is at the end of a private road, situated between the lake and conservation lands teeming with birds and wildlife. Parking at the property is limited.


Your host pays great attention to detail, and every effort is made to ensure that your stay at Luckystone Sound is a time of relaxation and renewal. If your family requires particular adaptations, please let us know how we can help.


A few Property Rules


To protect this beautiful property, and to optimize the enjoyment of all our guests, the following rules are in place:


  • No non-registered guests without prior permission
  • This is a non-smoking property
  • No tents may be used on the property (exception floorless event tents with prior permission)
  • Pet guests must be approved before your stay
  • Fireworks and disruptive noise are not permitted
  • ​Outdoor fires are permitted only in the fire pit. Firewood is available for sale on nearby County Road 50
  • Guests are required to secure the property from unauthorized access during their occupancy; outdoor security cameras are in use, but do not replace guest measures
  • The property is not child-proof. Parents, the safety of your children is your responsibility; we implore you to be vigilant
  • The property is not fully accessible. There are a few steps up to access the main floor of the property, and the full bath is on the second level
  • It is the responsibility of guests to be aware of and comply with all local, provincial, and federal laws while on the property. A fishing license may be obtained in nearby Amherstburg
  • Trash and recycling will be collected during your stay. Guests are asked to place the trash curbside on collection day; instructions and supplies are provided


Rental Charges and Fees

You may book your stay on AirBnB; returning guests may book directly with the owner.

When booking directly, a fifty percent deposit is required to block your dates in our calendar. The remaining balance is due thirty days before the occupancy date.


Damage Deposit


When booking directly, a mandatory damage deposit of 500 CAD is required. Guests may select the timing of the damage deposit, however it is due no later than thirty days before occupancy, and will be returned to the guest upon confirmation that no damage has occurred to the property during the occupancy. When no damage has occurred, the damage deposit will be returned to the guest within thirty days, typically much sooner.


Guests who do not vacate the property at the end of the rental period may forfeit their damage deposit. If you are having difficulties on your departure date, please contact your host for support as soon as possible.


The cost of damage to the property is the responsibility of the guest, and such expenses will be recovered if they exceed the amount of the damage deposit.


We understand that accidents happen. Please reach out to the owner when breakage occurs, so that we can quickly restore the property to top condition. Damage reported during occupancy may not be handled in the same manner as damage found after occupancy.


Cancellation Policy


When booking directly, a full refund of any amount paid will be made when cancellation occurs greater than sixty days prior to scheduled occupancy.


A fifty percent (50%) refund of the total booking cost will be made when a cancellation occurs between thirty and sixty days prior to scheduled occupancy.


No refund will be made when cancellation occurs fewer than thirty days prior to scheduled occupancy.


A cancellation may be made by speaking directly to the owner and making a written confirmation.


Guest Screening


Luckystone Sound is a property suitable for guests over thirty, or families, and a maximum guest number applies. The owner reserves the right to deny access or remove groups who are not as represented on booking.

Pets require advance approval.


Cleaning


A maid will prepare Luckystone Sound for your arrival; there is no additional fee for this service. Should heavy cleaning not representing normal use be required on your departure, such cleaning will be deducted from your damage deposit. Please keep the property in as-found condition to avoid such a charge.
